Netflix anuncia anime de Devil May Cry do showrunner de Castlevania

Franquia de jogos estreou para PlayStation 2 em 2001.
Adi Shankar, showrunner de Castlevania da Netflix, está oficialmente desenvolvendo uma nova série de anime baseada em Devil May Cry. Durante o evento virtual DROP 01 a produção recebeu um teaser que mostra cena com Dante .
Nesta adaptação animada do popular jogo da Capcom, forças sinistras estão em jogo para abrir o portal entre os reinos humano e demoníaco. No meio de tudo isso está Dante, um órfão caçador de demônios de aluguel, sem saber que o destino de ambos os mundos está pendurado em seu pescoço.
Anime está sendo feito pela Capcom e Studio Mir e será lançado em breve na Netflix.
Shankar trabalhará como produtor executivo ao lado de Hideaki Itsuno, da Capcom, e Seung Wook Lee, do Studio MIR. Itsuno foi diretor de vários jogos Devil May Cry e Lee faz parte de uma equipe que também ajudou a criar The Legend of Korra, My Adventures with Superman, Voltron: Legendary Defender da Netflix e The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, e mais.

Devil May Cry 5 foi lançado em 2019, e desde então não houveram mais jogos. A franquia estreou para PlayStation 2 em 2001 e muitas sequências se seguiram.
